Outlook does not use the WAB. Outlook Express does. I still need to know
your version of Outlook 2000. If it is Internet Mail Only, then the address
service uses the WAB engine instead of Outlook's and can only be repaired by
repairing Outlook Express.
Nothing you do in the Contacts folder should generate this message. You
aren't trying to edit data in the address book view are you?

OK, I have Outlook SR-1 Internet Mail only, the error message pops up
whenever I click save and close after trying to edit anything in an
individual contact file, name, title, address, etc. The error reads... An
error occurred while attempting to open window address book. Unable to find
the WAB DLL. If I need to repair Outlook Express how do I go about doing
that and will I lose any information?
Thanks again for your help, Susan

Rename any wab32.dll files you find on your system, then repair or reinstall
Outlook Express. Make sure both Outlook and OE are closed at the time.
