How come I can't Copy and Paste a contact when I'm in "phone list" view?
Seems like you can do it in Address Card view only.

Do you have incell editing enabled?

it's a view property - if you need help accessing custom views see
http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/viewmenu.htm

if this is not the cause, we need a lot more information on exactly what you
are doing - where you are pasting to and from.
