I can export an address book (but the only ooption is a CSV file). Improting
that address book expects a WAB file. I found a wab file that looked like the
adfdress book anfd overlaid it with the new address book but the old
addresses wewre still there, I notcie if the file shared it is stored in
microsoft outlook contact stor. How do I get to that?

It looks inpossible to load a saved address book.

Is your goal to move Outlook Express's Contacts to another Outlook Express
or to Outlook?  If the former, ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup and see
http://www.insideoe.com/ .  If the latter, post back and state the version
of Outlook that is to receive the data.

I have Outlook Express on my old computer, and Outlook only on the new. I
want to use Contacts not Personal Address book. How can I get the former onto
the latter? The answer seems to be write them on paper and re-enter. This
would probably be quicker than taking the degree in computer science that I
would need in order, for example, even to understand what a CSV file is! And
I wonder how I'll ever fiind this place again in case someone replies

First you must transfer your data to Outlook Express on the new computer.
There are several groups and websites to tell you how to do that. This isn't
one of them. Try here, for example:
http://www.tomsterdam.com/

Then it's a simple matter to import Contacts from OE into Outlook:
In Outlook: File > Import and Export... > Internet Mail and Addresses.
