Hi there,

I am in sales and I am having a serious issue with gathering info for my
contacts and putting it all in one place for reference.  I am attempting to
customize my contacts view and set up customized contact fields and set the
form as the default so that it pops up whenever is want to create a new
contact.  As well, I have figured out there is a way to create mail merge
letters from this information.  I created a customized contacts form....only
to find that the fields that have the same name carry over the same
infomation to each field when it has only been typed into one like they are
linked some way....I can't figure out how to use the same field label name
but not link the information.  I am creating contacts inside of contacts so
to speak, meaning I want to put DOB AND SOC. SEC #'S in for several people,
but the fields keep duplicting what I type to carry over to all fields.....
Please Help!

It's not clear from your post how you created your fields, but for each individual piece of data that you want to store in a contact item, you need a separate named field. See http://www.outlookcode.com/d/fields.htm for best practices. If you don't want to enter that information on the All Fields tab, drag each field from the Field Chooser to a custom page.
