When I link a contact in a Journal, only the contact name displays. I have a
contact that is associated with multiple companies and I need to be assured
that when I select a contact that I’m selecting the correct one when I view
the journal. Only the contact name displays.
Additionally, when I view the journals under entry list, I can’t find the
field to display the correct contact. Again, only the contact displays.
I'm using OL2003
Thanks,
lsl
IIRC, what displays in a contact link is the value of the linked contact's Full Name field.

This seems disconcerting. Even in a paper form journaling, of which
computerization is supposed to replicate, you don’t link by a person name
only. Garbage-in, garbage out. Seems like another half-baked idea from MSFT.
The more I attempt to use Outlook beyond calendaring and contact list, the
more time I waste.
Now that I’ve vented and got that off my chest, can you offer a solution or
direct me to where I can find one. Ideally I would like to see the
application of Outlook in a “real life” situation. Not just what it can do.
(Sorry, starting to vent again).
Thanks for your suggestions
