Hi guys,

I have added 300 e mail addresses to user x's contacts remotely. However,
When I go to create a distribution list from the names I have put in, I can
only see the global address list, containing the addresses from my exchange
server, but cannot find the addresses I have just typed in. How can I find
the new contacts I have entered so I can create a distribution list for them?

Many thanks in advance. :)

Clarify how and where you created these Contacts. Clarify how you are
accessing the store in which you created them.

To create the contacts I did File-Open-Other Users Folder-Name X-Folder:
Contacts.

I created the contacts in user x's contacts  folder.

Now when viewing the new contacts I in user x's contacts I go to
new-distribution list-select members, however in all of the options under
'show names from the' box, I cannot see the new contacts I have made.

Any help much appreciated. :)

So this is in an Exchange mailbox to which you have remote access as the
Exchange administrator? That will add complexity that should be addressed in
an Exchange group.
For these Contacts to be available to the Outlook Address Book Service you
need to be sure the Contacts Folder to which you added them has been enabled
as an Outlook Address Book and that the profile has been restarted since you
added the names.
