enable auto-complete in e-mail address field?

How do I enable the auto-complete function in the e-mail address field? I
understand it should happen automatically, but unfortunately that is not the
case and i have not been able to find that info for 2003 version.

Tools>Options>E-mail Options>Advanced E-mail Options.  Check the "Suggest
names while completing To, Cc, and Bcc fields" box near the bottom.
