I've added several contacts and distribution lists to my Contacts in OL
2002, SP2. They are displayed fine when I click on Contacts on the
Outlook Shortcuts bar.

When I click on New Message, then click on To, in the Select Names
dialog box, the Global Address List is the default list that appears in
the 'Show Names From The' drop-down list, and many names and
distibution lists appear. But when I choose Contacts from the drop-down
list, no contacts nor DLs are displayed to choose.

Why not? Thanks.

Perhaps the Contacts folder the address book is referencing is not the one
where you put the entries.  Right-click the Contacts folder where you've
created the entries and choose Properties.  Click the Outlook Address Book
tab.  Is "Show this folder and an e-mail Address Book" checked?
