Copy them back from the Deleted Items Folder.

Do you mean in the Personal Folder because it's empty. What I had done was
right clicked on the contact folder and deleted it. I thought maybe be I can
undo it but the Undo is shaded.
Does "contacts" make a backup?
Thanks

No. I meant what I said: The Deleted Items Folder. It is a folder that is
created in every Personal Folders file and it is where everything you delete
goes in case you make a mistake. That is your "Undo" when you delete by
mistake.
Outlook does not make automatic backups unless you are running against
Exchange Server.
