email address updated, old address shows in to: when name entered

Changed an email address in my address book. When creating a new email, if I
enter the name in the To: field, I get the old email address instead of the
changed email address.

You did not state how you are entering the name. If you are using
autocompletion, then that would be expected since autocompletion does not
use your Contacts data.
