I am trying to import my yahoo address book to Outlook. I was able to export
my yahoo address book as .csv file. I have also transformed this .csv to
excel. The problem is that when I use in outlook: [ File>Import/Export>
Import from another program or file] it just doesn't work. The program
suggests that I should create "named ranges" in Excel, but this does not seem
to work either.

Try this - create a few contacts in Outlook and then export them to Excel.
Compare Outlook's file output with your .csv and make the appropriate
changes.
