I am trying to create a mail merge to print off address labels for our
office's christmas cards. I am in Word (2003). have got to the part where it
asks you to select recipients. When I choose to get my recipients from
Outlook, it gives me two options - my personal contacts or the company's
contacts. I want to use the contacts in the comapny, not my personal. But it
only lets me select my personal contacts. Does anyone know why this is? Am I
not allowed access to the company contacts? I do have access to them in
Outlook normally. Any help would be really appreciated.

Provide sufficient detail.
What do you mean by "it only lets me select my personal contacts?"
Explain what you are doing and what happens.
Explain how you have your Outlook Address Book configured.
Explain where your company Contacts reside and where your personal Contacts
reside.

When it asks me to select recipients, I choose to select them from Outlook
contacts. It then asks me to choose a contacts folder.

A box comes up that has 'contacts' - which are my personal contacts, and
EPIC shared contacts - which is the company's contacts and are what I need
access to to make the labels.
In this box under the heading of description, it says 'mailbox - alix
wilton' which is for my contacts. There is no description of where the shared
contacts are. Is this the reason I don't have access to them?
When I click on the shared contacts, nothing happens.
I hope this helps a little? Many thanks

Indeed. You need to find out where these shared Contacts reside and then ask
your Exchange administrator how you are supposed to access them.
