I have created a contacts list where I used the notes field to store ticket
numbers ranging from 100 - 600.  I have done a custom sort on the notes
field, which includes showing the 'file as' field second.  All of my entries
are in numerical ascending order except for three entries I put in later this
evening.  No matte what I do, I cannot get these three to sequence themselves
in order.  They show at the bottom of the list out of order.

How about you make a new field and make it numerical instead of using Notes
for this purpose?

Use the Phone List view, use the Field Chooser (on Advanced Toolbar) and
make a new field.  You can then group or sort by your field.

Everyone - turn on your Advanced Toolbars and learn how to use the Field
Chooser and Group by Box!!
