When I send a large file to one of my distribution lists, the IP said too
many names on list. So I decided to break my DL into two separate DL's and
send them separately. I added dist list #1 to dist list #2 and then delete
half of the names and email addresses.
Well this deletes the names from from BOTH dist list #1 AND Dist list #1
that I thought COPIED to Dist list #2.

They names I deleted are not in the Deleted Items folder. Can they be
retrieved???

No.
One of many reasons we do not recommend using DL's.
