Remove names from to bar

when sending a e-mail; How do you edit the list of names that appear when you
press a letter while in the TO: box.  I have several names that I would like
to remove from various letter(s).

use the arrow key to select then press delete?

Good one.
I see it now. Press a letter while in the To: box meant typing in the To:
field.
Pressing a letter in the To: box sorts the Outlook Address Book.
