There is no entry. From looking at a few other posts someone mentioned that
if the file is close to the 1000 limit the file could sometimes become
corrupt. We also have a case opened with Microsoft and they are aware of the
problem. The temporary fix is to edit the registry setting to allow fewer
entries.

Not really. If the file reaches 1000, it should not become corrupt. It
should simply thin itself using a FIFO algorithm.
There are, however, a lot of reports of the autocompletion cache failing to
keep track of data reliably, which is no small issue for users who have come
to rely upon the autocompletion cache as if it were a reliable data source.
Let us know if PSS solves your problem. Their track record isn't so good
from what I've seen. Editing the registry to allow fewer entries hardly
seems like a solution to me.
In the meantime, I would advise against considering the autocompletion cache
as a reliable data source until Microsoft figures out these problems.

Hi Russ, Well the fix that microsoft gave us did not correct the problem. Do
you or anyone else have any other ideas. I am leaning towards a user profile
problem. The problem started happening when we went to a Mandatory Profile
and converted to imanage for document management.
Thanks for all your help

I can't say I'm surprised. Outside of Microsoft, the people who know the
most about NK2 files are the developers of Ingressor
(http://www.ingressor.com/) . If this is a new problem to them, I'd bet
they'd be willing to look into what's happening if you can share your NK2
files with them. I'll put you in touch.
