Missing Default Form

For some reason, Outlook is unable to open a new contact form when I click on
the New Contact Icon, or when I try to add an e-mail address to contacts from
the Outlook mail window.  When I click on the icon or try to add a contact
from an e-mail address, I get an error message:
"The form required to view this messge cannot be displayed.  Contact
your administrator."

This is my primary account on my personal laptop, so, I am the
"administrator".

I already tried using the Microsoft FormSwap Utility to restore the default
to IPM.Contact, with no success.  I also used Regedit to check and make sure
that the Registry entries were in the right place.

Something sticks in my mind that there is a dialog box that allows the user
to designate  default form... Maybe it wasn't for Contacts.

I have three forms I use.  In the Actions Menu, they occur at the bottom as
"New ... followed by the form name.  These work just fine.  it's just the
default form that doesn't work.

Thanks for your help.

Right click on the contact folder, select properties.  What shows in the
dropdown for "When posting to this folder...?"

Thank you.  My problem was that I forgot to "stake" the folders window, so
that the right-click would work and give me access to the Properties.  I was
able to change the default form and solve the problem.

Thanks again.
