When I imported the contacts from my desktop TO my laptop it created a new
folder called Contacts1. I copied all the entries from Contacts1 into
Contacts (since this is the default for everything). Now when I synch my
IPod it keeps grabbing both contacts so I have double of everything.
I also right-clicked on Contacts1 and said REMOVE FROM MY CONTACTS...where
did it go? It obviously wasn't deleted as programs (i.e. IPod) still find
the data.
Thank you.

If you're sure they are in Contacts... you can delete the folder Contacts 1.
In the Folder List, right click the Contacts 1 and delete it. That removes
the whole folder, not just preventing it from showing in the Contacts
folders view (in the Navigation Pane in 2003)

How do I "find" the Contacts1 now that I said REMOVE FROM MY CONTACTS list?

And now you see why importing is a poor choice for transferring Outlook
data. Next time just open the PST file and copy what you want from it. You
won't make mistakes as easily.
