Contact folders

In Outlook 2002, I was able to set up and display contact folders &
subfolders, making it possible to group contacts and only display subfolders
that I needed to.

When I imported my PST to Outlook 2003, all the contact folders are
displayed at the same level.

Is there an easy way to change some of these folders to subfolders?

thanks...

Why did you import? You could have just reused the PST file or open it and
copy things where you wanted them.
Why can't you now just move them to be subfolders of the default?

Well, I tried just copying the PST file (from the old computer using Outlook
2002), but the same display problem occurs ie the contact subfolders are
displayed at the same level (ie not nested as they were in 2002).

Interestingly, if I create a new folder, the "Create new folder" dialog box
correctly shows the subfolder nesting, so it appears to be a setting for how
"My Contacts" is displayed. However, I can't find an option to change the
display setting.

Any ideas?

I don't understand your question. Why are you trying to create a new folder?
Why don't you just drag and drop your existing folders where you want them?
If you had simply copied your old PST and opened it in Outlook it would have
appeared the same as it did before. You must have done something else.

What I think is happening here is that you're using the "Contacts" View in
the Navigation Pane (i.e., clicking the Contacts button at the bottom of the
left pane in Outlook).  The Contacts view shows you all of the folders that
contain Contact items and shows them at the same level no matter how they're
nested.  If you were to change to the Folder List view, I suspect you'll see
the nesting you have.
