E-mail addresses are automatically being added to my Contacts folder when I
receive a new e-mail.  How can I de-activate this please? (Outlook 2003)

Outlook 2003 does not and cannot do this.
Explain why you think it is.

Hi Russ,

Thanks for your speedy reply.  I misled you, sorry.  I have Outlook 2003 but
I was asking the question on behalf of a friend who is using Outlook Express
6.

Can you help with that?

Thanks in advance.

Kent.

No. Never used it.
The folks in an OE group could.
This is a group to support Outlook from the Office group of programs.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and is a quite different
program despite its similar name..

You will probably get a faster and more expert answer if you post this to an
outlook express news group.

Try posting in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x

A good website for information on OE is:
