I agree with you what is the point of having new appointemnt with
contact, if company name is not inserted in.

No, Outlook doesn't do that. What it does instead is enter the contact's
name as a hyperlink in the Contacts field at the bottom of the appointment
form, so that you can click the name and see the contact details that way.
