This has to be simple, but I cannot do it. I want to create a new folder
(which I have done) and copy names and addresses into it, but I want to leave
my main contact list intact. I can move the information, but I cannot just
copy it. I have downloaded the help information and followed it, but I can't
make it work. Any suggestions?

Select the items to copy, RIGHT mouse drag to the destination folder,
release and select Copy. Generally use your right mouse button more!

As an alternative to Judy's advice, you can also select the contacts and
then click Edit>Copy to Folder.
