I have an Outlook 2000 user trying to import a distibution list that was
emailed from Outlook 2003 user.

Should they save they save the attached "list.msg" file to their PC before
dragging to the contacts on the Outlook 2000 side??

Is this possible?  I can do this from 2k3 to 2k3 by drag and dropping into
contacts.

Thanks,

Vince

DL needs to be sent in proper format: Insert as an Outlook Item in an RTF
message. Then the recipient can simply open and save to their default
folder.

Russ,

I messed up.  The receiving user does not have Outlook 2000.  They only have
access to OWA 2003.  They can't drag and drop in OWA, because there is no
'Save' funtion allowed.  It is greyed-out.

I opened the user's mailbox from my PC with Outlook 2k3, opened the attached
"list.msg" and dropped it into the contacts.  This worked.

Is this the only way to do this?  We have several users with only OWA access.

Thanks,

Vince

OWA changes everything. It's supported in Exchange groups. AFAIK, you can't
create RTF messages in OWA, or insert Outlook Items.
