Search will not find some contacts

Sometimes I cannot find contacts by using either Search or Advanced Search.
For example, I've got three contacts named Anderson, and for some reason only
two of them will show up when I search.  I've tried everything I can think of
-- checking the spelling, trying all the different options for "save as",
even deleting the contact entirely and re-entering it from scratch.  But it
still won't show up.

I can navigate to this contact manually, of course, but it's sort of annoying.

Any suggestions?  This is Outlook 2003.

Not without more details on how you are conducting the searches and
consistent steps to reproduce the behavior. Outlook has not been reported to
fail at searches randomly.
