I am trying to create a new distribution list - Outlook 2003 - I do the new
distribution list and if I try to select members - it doesn't add to the list
- If I click on new member and add the email address - it will add it to the
list.  BUT it also doesn't show the name of the distribution list - for
instance - we made a DL called Rush Order - and added the emails needed to
send to - save and close and it goes to the front of the list and no name on
the blue bar.  you can go into the list and it is listed correctly.
Please Help

Provide a more accurate description of the steps you are using.
"Select members" only applies to Contacts that already reside in one or your
Contacts Folders that has been enabled as an email address book. Is that
what you're trying to add?
If a DL goes to the top of the Contacts Folder, you have not named it
correctly. How are you naming it?

In Contacts,  I select New Distribution List >>> then we put "Rush Order" in
the Name Box.  Then we click on Select Members - find the people we want to
add to the list and double click on them to select them, click OK but they
don't transfer to the body of the DL.  If we click on Add New and add the
person we need in the list and do a Add New for each member needed it will
add to the body of the DL.  Then we do a Save and Close and that paticular DL
will be at the top of the Contact list with no heading and it does have the
head for DL -

If you double click on it - it opens and it looks correct - "Rush Order" in
the Name box and emails listed in the body.
hope this is enough information

Something is corrupt in your installation. First I would verify that the
Outlook Address Book Service is installed and connected correctly to your
Contacts Folders.
If it is, I'd create a new profile.
