Removing Contacts from Trash

Hello,

I accidentally moved all of my contacts to the Deleted Items folder in
Outlook, so I selected one and moved it back to my Contacts folder.  This
worked for that one person.

Then, I "selected all" in the Deleted Items folder and tried to move them
into the Contacts folder, thinking Outlook would do so one by one.  When I
saw what it had done - put all of the Vcards into one Contact file - I hit
cancel.

Everything disappeared.  The Contacts are no longer in the Deleted Items,
nor are they anywhere else.  I now have no idea what to do to recover the
contacts.

Anyone seen this before?

I don't think you'll be able to recover those contacts unless you have a backup .pst file.

Yeah, I figured as much.  Is this something I could report to Microsfot as a
bug?  The usual behavior for "cancel" is to put things back where they were.
I really think in this case (mass deletion of contacts) that "Cancel" should
behave like normal.  Anyone on this list know how to submit that request to
Microsoft?

If you have a retail copy of Office, you can submit a support incident through http://support.microsoft.com
