Using contacts without exchange server

I am moving from an exchange server to a POP3 mail server. I would like to
continue to use Outlook, and also save my old contacts and mails. I can move
my mails to a personal folder (.pst), but moving my contacts to a personal
address book seems to loose a lot of data, and I cannot make the personal
address book visible in the same way as contacts. Furthermore the personal
address book does not seem to support subfolders, which is necessary, when
you have more than 1000 contacts.

Moving to Outlook express gives the same problem with contacts.

Any suggestions?

So why don't you move them to a PST file?
That's the way to do it.

So simple. Thanks a lot. It works.
