When I type a name in the "to" section for a new message in Outlook 2003, I
sometimes get incorrect "choices" from the auto complete feature.  It's very
annoying, so I did a search to find some way to correct this option.  I found
instructions for resetting the nickname cache for Outlook, but I'm very leary
of renaming my outlook profile for fear it'll screw everything up.  My
operating system is Windows XP.  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Why would you rename your Outlook profile?
There are no instructions that tell you to do that.
Rename your NK2 file.
To clear the entire cache, follow the instructions here:

Sorry for the confusion.  I meant I was worried about renaming the *NK2 file
associated with my outlook profile, as per the MS instructions.

find and delete the *.NK2 file for your profile, not the actual profile.
