I can't import mail and addresses from OE6 to Outlook 2002 on my computer.
After 16% completion, the process stops and an error report is sent to
Microsoft. In Outlook, I went File/Import/Import mail and addresses/Outlook
Express 4x, 5/Next.  (Note it does not list OE6).  The process starts and
then stops at 16% completion and then I get "an error has occurred and the
error report is sent to MS.  Any advice?  Thanks

Have you tried to narrow down the problem by importing only addresses or
only mail?
This usually indicates a corrupt entry somewhere, so you'll need to narrow
it down and look for problem items in OE.

Yes, I tried only address book and I got the error.  I tried emails and it
was successful importing them.

Time to search your Windows Address Book then for corrupt entries.
You could also try to export it to some intermediary format (such as CSV) to
see if you can get them exported that way, then try to import the CSV file
into Outlook.

You should be EXPORTing your mail from Outlook Express to Outlook if you
want to preserve the Received date.  If you import them with Outlook, the
date will change to the date/time of import.
