My husband crashed his hard drive and replaced it.  He has a full backup of
his system from before the crash.  Where can I find the address book and the
contacts and past emails on that back-up to reload on the new hard drive?

Outlook doesn't have an address book.  The Outlook Address Book is just a
view of your Contacts folder.
