My previous computer was running Office 97. I used the
Outlook application to create a contact list for all my
contacts. I was not using Outlook then for my email because
my employer supported another email program.

I now have an entirely new computer running Office 2000. I
would like to bring my Outlook 97 contact list into Outlook
2000. I can move any necessary files via our network, but I
am not sure which ones to move and how to convert them to
Outlook 2000 format.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

If all you need is your Contacts, just export your Outlook 97 Contacts
Folder to a PST file. Then you can open that PST file in  Outlook 2000 and
copy the Contacts to the Contacts Folder in your new installation.
