I am transferring a pst file from an old computer to a new computer. I've noticed that in the new computer, I receive the "Can't Open thi item." error when I double click a Journal entry in the Activities Ta of Contacts. I can open the item with no problems on the old PC. Please assist -- bellga Depends on how you transferred your data. If you did so incorrectly all links will be broken. I can think of at least 5 ways you could "just transfer." If you simply overwrote a PST file, then for sure you broke all links and corrupted your profile. You haven't provided your Outlook version. We moved the PST file from the old P to the new PC. We removed the existing pst file on the new computer and linked outlook to the pst file from the old computer. Afte recieving the error message from outlook, we ran a scan on the ps file. The scan did not uncover any errors. The scan was performed o the pst file while it was on the new PC. Any ideas o how to fix this issue -- bellga No. None. I still have no information on how you migrated your data or why you would be using a PST file with Exchange Server.
