Dear Friends,

I need all the valid steps for troubleshooting this error. Occured after
Repairing/Reinstalling the Office.

If I click the contacts button on the extreme left.......I see all my
contacts and the distribution list.................but

Cannot insert a contact from the To: field in the New Message. Getting error
"The address list could not be displayed"

- Imported the backup .pst
- Tried checking all drop down selections under "show names from the field".
- Created a new .pst and imported mail and addresses from the backup .pst

Please reply to studynotes.iqr@gmail.com

Thanks & Regards
Akshay Chandra

Importing is never the correct way to transfer Outlook data.
Your question is posted here daily.
If your Contacts are intact, then all you need to do is configure the
Outlook Address Book. Specific instructions depend on your Outlook version,
which you did not post. They have been posted here so often, however, I'm
sure you can find the ones that fit your version.

Dear Sir,
This is the first time I have ever posted this particular error on the News
Group. I however tried the MS KB Article: 319901. Well the Version of Outlook
is OutLook XP.
I need the exact steps.....if you could provide for configuring the Outlook
Address Book. If need any other detail please let me know.

Thanks & Regards
Akshay Chandra

Those are the exact steps, and they work.
You'll need to provide your evidence to the contrary for anyone to
troubleshoot further.

Dear Russ,

Thank you very much for the support. These steps did help me after trying it
again. However, the outlook required few more configurations to be taken care
of. I really appreciate your support.

Thanks & Regards
