My contacts are displaying email addresses instaed of the names from my
contact list.  How do I display my contacts names instead of there email
addresses.  This didn't start happening until I upgraded my outlook when I
installed ActiveSync 4.0 for my Dell Axim X51v.

Displaying them where? Outlook will use whatever is stored in the "Display
As" field.

The email address is displaying when I select the person I want to send my
email too from my contact list when I compose emails.  It would actually
display there names before.  I also noticed there is now a field (Display As)
located on the contact card now.  The only way figured out on how to change
it is cut/paste the name in that field.  Thing is, I have over 300 contacts
stored.

Each version of Outlook has formatted the Display Name differently. It is of
no consequence.

What I usually do is edit the contact in question and erase the
displayname. My Outlook 2003 then automatically fixes it by putting in
the contact name AND email address for Display Name.

Exactly. That's the format Outlook 2003 uses. They finally got tired of
trying to decide whether users preferred the name or the actual email
address, so now they use both.
Some users are still unhappy.
