I use the Outlook backup program to automatically save my info but keep
losing my "Contacts".  How do I copy my contacts into the "Outlook Address
Book" and will this keep me from losing them?

Your question is confusing. The Outlook Address Book contains no data. It is
a view of your Contacts Folder.
Exactly what are you losing here and exactly what steps are you using to
lose it?

I see, I am starting to get a vision.  I have used the "Backup" for Outlook.
But when I have had to restore I had lost my "address list".  I was under the
impression that the backup program actually backed up all the sections of
Outlook not just the mail portion.  Therefor I thought I was losing my
contacts but was not really backing them up. Is this correct?  and is there a
way to do this?

No. I very much doubt this is correct.
I have no idea what backup program you are using or how you are using it.
The best way to backup Outlook data is to make periodic copies of your
Outlook Data File. That's all there is to it. The file you to copy is your
Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's where all the mail, calendar, contacts
etc are stored.

Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup or transfer:
http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm
http://www.howto-outlook.com/Howto/backupandrestore.htm
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA010771141033.aspx

All Contact data resides in Contact Folders. There is no address book in
Outlook. It appears that whatever you are doing is failing to configure your
Outlook Address Book view after you do a "restore."

Never used it. What made you have to do a restore? That might be where the
problem began.
