If I enter a part of a name in the To box of an email, and
then "check names" Outlook looks first in the Global
Address List. If it finds a match, it doesn't go on to
look in my Contacts Folders, which I have set up as email
address books. It only looks in these if no match is found
in the Global List. I am using Outlook 2002.

Is there any way of getting Outlook to search all Address
Books equally, and show me the matches found.

No. The search is sequential, probably for performance reasons

What you can do, however, is to have Outlook search the Contacts folder
first. If you have individuals in the GAL that you frequently send email to,
copy them to the Contacts folder.

ok.  How do you have Outlook web access search the
contacts folder first to find people?
