Outlook 2003 cursor location default

when I open Contacts the first name listed in contacts is not highlighted.
The cursor in all other application defaults to the first line of data but
not in contacts. Is there a setting i missed setting? if so where do i find
the setting?

There is no such setting.  I believe this is caused by using Outlook Today
as your startup folder.

that was the problem my Outlook Today was my startup default i changed it to
my Inbox and the cursor now highlights the first thing in my Inbox or my
Contacts
