Global contacts not recognized by Outlook 2000

Even though I have emailed several of my co-workers, who are all on our
Global Contacts list, when I open a new message and start to type their name
in the "to" box, it doesn't recognize them and finish the email address.  On
the toolbar, in the box that indicates what contact list is being used, there
are no lists available when using the drop-down arrow.

Basically, every time I want to email someone I have to open up the address
book and search for them, select them into the "to" box and click ok.  OR,
type their whole address in the box.

Any help to associate Outlook 2000 with the Global Contacts list would be
very appreciated!

That's because the autocompletion feature wasn't introduced until Outlook
2002.

Hi Brian,

I would've sworn this is the first time since I began using Outlook that it
hasn't automatically entered addresses. At this work location, we had it in
2000, maybe even earlier, but I gues you're saying that wouldn't have been
possible??

Thanks for the information.

Not autocompletion.  There is a feature in OL 2000 and beyond called
autoresolution, however.  Search Help in Outlook for "resolve address" or
"checking names"
