After reading the webpage you post before. I have a clearer picture on the
feature of Outlook.
Let me ask you in the way round, could I manually create an alias for an
email address to use in auto-completion?
Moreover, in order for auto-resolution to works, do I need to type the words
starting from the beginning? For example, a contact has a first name of
"First (Company), I type company in the "to" field, autoresolution will not
work?

In Outlook 2002 and above, the only time I've been able to create an alias
that will find an address is to turn off autocompletion and use only
autoresolution. Otherwise, autocompletion supersedes autoresolution.
Autocompletion will find only the elements of the name and electronic
address using the algorithm described here:
