qalias - 24 Jan 2006 15:36 GMT I want to export from outlook to a csv file to be able to import in outlook express to be able to sync with msn.
In outlook: export, export to a file and then..which one to select, dos windows or excel?
When i try to import in outlook express, import other address book addresses appear in once as a name only : for example ","","","","","","","",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,"+31",,,,,,,,"",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,"Niet-gespecificeerd","Normaal",,,"",,,,"",,,,,,"Normaal","Onwaar",,,,"0-0-00","","","0-0-00"
thanks for your input qalias
IvKo - 24 Jan 2006 16:56 GMT Why you do not try the "IMI Contacts Exporter" from http://www.imibo.com/imidev/Exchange/imice.htm
IMI Contacts Exporter for Microsoft Exchange Server is small utility specially designed for Microsoft Outlook users to export Contacts from any Outlook and/or Exchange Public Contacts Folder (or private Mailbox folder) to MS Access 2000 table or MS Excel file.

OE claims that I have to make sure to have a personal addressbook in Outlook and that this is configured as the default personal adresbook

OE's Wizard can then readily import that file: File > Import > Other Address Book > Text File (CSV). I've never seen anyone have any trouble with it.
