Folks,

I have a number of users who only see a subset of their contacts in
their address books. This occurs despite the users having valid e-mail
addresses. You can open the "missing" contact item and do "Send E-Mail"
and it goes so the address is valid. Exporting the items to a spread
sheet and re-importing seems to fix the problem. The issue does not
appear to be Outlook version issue as it happens to both Outlook 2000
and Outlook 2003 users. The only common thing seems to be that they use
MIS Server. Any one seen this before?

Dave.

MIS Server?
Check to see if these electronic addresses are not only valid but also
resolved. Sounds to me like someone's been moving Contacts around.

Have you verified the Exchange 2000 database is ok? Check the
Eseutil utility for more info.

Thanks for those suggestions, however:-

1) Yes the addresses show as "resolved", that is they are underlined in
the contact display. They are usually external SMPT addresses.

2) Yes, oddly enough we ran ESEUTIL (for another problem) at the
weekend and they were still duff on Monday.

Dave.
