After furious head scratching, Cheesewright asked:
| How do I export Outlook 2002 contacts to Outlook Express 6? I want to
| stop using Outlook and will only be using Outlook Express.

| Thanks

Following 'export imformation' I am instructed to create a contact
file and then drag my contacts into it. Then I am advised to click
"export to a file, click next, and 'on the list click the file type
you want to export to and then click next'.
My choices do not show a .csv file. Rather I can pick from 'Comma
Separated Values (windows)', 'Microsoft Excel', 'Personal Folder File
.pst', etc. Clicking on any one of these causes Outlook to get stuck,
fail to do anything, and I am forced to end the program and bring it
back up again.
Am I doing something wrong?

What do you think a CSV file is? "Comma-Separated Value" .csv.

Thanks.
Now I highlight the file I want to export (it's actually in the folder
list) hit export, select Comma-Separated Value and then it does gets
stuck and will not let me cancel. I must eventually get out of
Outlook and start over.
Any suggestions from anyone?

I'm sorry to have not figured that out. I went to Outlook Express and
tried to Import instead, then searced Usenet Groups, and finally found
this group.
I'm still stuck...when I select the Comma Separated Values - Windows
and hit next the program freezes.
