Microsoft must change Active Sync so that there's the option of having
Outlook data go only to the PC from the Handheld. As it is now, the choice
is to combine the data of both, or have it go from the PC to the Handheld.
PALM GIVES YOU THE THREE OPTIONS
This causes huge problems, and I wish I knew why they won't change this.
Must be a monopoly issue somehow. There are enough people angry about this
that somebody's going to do some kind of a consumer group action, and I'm
ready!
What happens is that you can't delete a shared item on the Handheld without
the PC replacing it at the next sync. And if you modifiy an item on the
Handheld, Outlook may not recognize it as the same contact, and you end up
with two items with the same title. Then you have to open both contacts (4
total) on both the PC and the Handheld and delete them, or they both keep
coming back. And if you make multiple changes, guess what...could be a lot
more than 4 you have to open and individually delete, making sure you keep
the one you want, and you may have forgotten why you wanted one set of
contact data, and not another...
Am I missing something?

Bzzzttt! Wrong - ActiveSync gives you 3 options. Replace the items on my
handheld, replace the items on my PC, or leave the items unresolved (leaving
you to decide what to do). Perhaps you need to look closer at the options
for synching before complaining.
