I had been using Office 97 until I found out it is no longer supported. I
replaced it with Office XP . During the installation I had the option to
import my Outlook Express files to Outlook. My e-mail files came over okay,
but when I try to send e-mail Outlook won't recognize the Contacts I imported
and won't let me add new contacts to the Address Book. I can only e-mail
someone if I go to that person in Contacts, click on it and use the option to
send mail to them I can't send to more than one person at t time unless I
already have a distribution list that was set up in Express. So far, I have
been unable to find anything on the MS web site that tells me how to fix it.
I have tried running the repair function from the disk, but it doesn't help.
Can anyone help? Thanks.

There is no separate address book in Outlook to which you would add
Contacts. Sounds like you simply forgot to configure the Outlook Address
