Is there a way in Outlook 2002 that you can add new individual contacts from
an Excel list of names and phone numbers?  I have over a list of 500 names
and ph # that I will need to send faxes and would like to find a way to add
this list of names and ph#'s without having to create individual contacts for
each.  Thank you.

why don't you want to create contacts for each?  You can import them using
the Import wizard.

You must name the data range in Excel first

 Go to Outlook......

File | Import/export | from Excel | browse to the Excel sheet.  The wizard
will help you get the data in the right Folder and in the right field for
each Contact.
