Try putting the distribution list in the BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) field

i just tried it again
i had my distribution name on the "to" field as well as in the "BCC" field
thats why it wasnt working....i just needed it to add the list to BCC
..oppssssssss

sender. can i have control over the sender's name and E-mail ?

There was a way of putting the name of the distribution list in the To: filed
and all it showed was the distribution list name. I had received email from
people with the To: field as Undisclosed receipients. how was that done?

Outlook provides no such option natively. You can place a bogus Contact
Record there with the name of your DL, then place the DL in the BCC field.
