I upgraded from Outlook 2002 to 2003.  I used the Microsoft Backup to create
a Personal Folder for my contacts.  Now I have two folders: Contacts (which
is the default) and Contacts in Personal Folders.  No matter what I try I
cannot export my old contacts from the personal folder into the contacts
folder.  Is there any way to do this or combine them.  Outlook will not allow
me to rename the old personal folder. It will not allow me to delete the
Contact folder.

The backup program has nothing to do with migrating your Outlook Data from
one installation to another.
State more clearly what you actually did. You've corrupted your profile.
