Advanced Find in Distribution Lists

I have several large distribution lists that frequently
need cleaning up. A person will ask to be removed from our
email list, but I can't figure out how to do a quick
search of my Contacts folder to find them. I CAN find the
people directly in my Contacts folder, but NOT those
inside distribution lists. Any ideas?

Expected behavior. Another reason few of us use DL's. Contacts Subfolders
are a better alternative for this purpose.

Extremely WEAK. Any plans on MS fixing this in future
versions?

Well I'm not the one to ask. I'm not a developer. From everything I've seen,
DL's are not being developed actively as a solution since there are others.
As I said, I think it's better to look for methods other than DL's.
