Outlook Live / Hotmail Contact Synch?

I want to keep Outlook live 2003 contacts as my primary contact repository.
However while at work I can only log into Hotmail, so I'd like for any
changes that I make in hotmail OR at home on Outlook live to be synched with
the other:

Outlook Live 2003 Contacts <---> Hotmail Contact

One problem that I have is that if I copy from Outlook to Hotmail via
Outlook Live, it creates a second contact with the same name in Hotmail. If I
then go in and delet the old contact in Hotmail, it messes up my MSN
Messenger Buddy List.

If it helps, I also have MSN Premium, a paid Hotmail Plus account, and still
can't figure out a way to make this work effectively!

Any ideas?

Thanks

I thought that in Outlook Live you could make the Hotmail folders your
delivery location, thus making the Hotmail calendar your default calendar
automatically.  However, my understanding of Outlook Live is fairly limited.
Nonetheless, what I say appears to be true, based on

Thanks Brian for your response. I'll look into making Hotmail my default
contacts (you mentioned calender below, but I'm more interested in contacts
than calendar). However, if I make hotmail contacts my primary, i'm concerned
that i'll lose some of the fields that are in my Outlook contacts (like a
photo, spouse name, etc.) since Hotmail contacts don't appear to support
those fields. Any thoughts?

Making your Hotmail account the default delivery location will make ALL your
Hotmail folders the default folders.

Sorry, I don't know the answer to this.  However, I suspect that since
Outlook Live behaves similarly to Exchange (even to having an OST), that
your Outlook data will look just the same.

Brian,

Is OUTLOOK same as Outlook Live?   I have Outlook 2003 on XP system.  I need
to make the HOTMAIL.COM calender synch with Outlook calender automatically so
that my Window Mobil Handheld device can be synched with Outlook calender.
My contacts and e mails are synched well except calender.  I end up updating
both calenders in HOTMAIL and OUTLOOK separately.

Sort of.  Outlook Live is a version of Outlook that MSN offers though its
members download area.  I believe it's a version of Outlook 2003.
