Hello:

Since I had to install a new hard drive to my laptop, I saved, exported my
contacts list to a XLS file. I opened this file and see all my contacts in
there.

Now I am trying to import all of them back into Outlook. When I do the steps
and it completes I look in my contacts and only a few are there and of the
ones that are there, they are out of order and by name I mean, plus there is
no spacing between the first and last names too.

No idea what is wrong. Can someone help me out here?

did you save the .pst file anywhere?  What version are you running?

Nothing to go on here. Post the steps you are using, including how you named
your range and how you mapped your fields. Exporting to a foreign file
format is never a good idea and in no way backs up data. It only loses data.

Do you have your original data file?
